They're lovely aren't they. We had rabbits when we were kids, and my brother used to breed Guinea pigs. They make wonderful pets. I used to breed Rabbits and Fancy Rats when i was younger, I kept Guinea Pigs but didn't breed them (Think they were both female), I may have a go when little Pepper is over 6 months old. I love Guinea pigs and the little noises they make ;D. My daughter had a Guinea Pig when she was young Floydie, she loved him to bits and when he died she laid him on cotton wool and put him in a cake tin and we had to bury him in the garden under the hebe bush. He lived for 7 years which I think is quite old for a Guinea Pig.

Diamond is very sweet. What a great name too. My son-in-law used to keep guinea pigs in Queensland and was very fussy about where they were homed. My grandchildren asked me to help pick guinea grass for them, but if you saw the cane toads you would know why I did not help. Unfortunately the guinea pigs attract snakes. I expect this is because of the food they eat.

I just thought I was posting two pics of the cat, etc., and lost them. I am not good at using Tinypic.

The cat gave the rabbit to the dogs, but I then gave it back to the cat. Atticus would have loved the dogs to eat it, but the bones are bad for them.

Blodyn is gorgeous Hywel. I'm afraid my cats are feral and are meant to kill rabbits. The rabbits have made a terrible mess of the front grass and driveway edges. This cat has proved he is not feral at all and is quite a pet. He loves the dogs and really acts as if he is one by coming for walks with them. He doesn't come quite as far as the dogs, so he will sit and wait for their return. When they run for treats, Atticus runs also. He does look funny. Aquila, the girl, only lets us see her every 4 or 5 days, but she must be working, because she is not eating much of the dry food.
The cats do not seem to be interested in birds which is good as I feed them next to the house in the winter.

Oh I don't like it when cats kill things Some pics of Blodyn ...... Same here , We have a Ferrel that comes in our garden after the birds! OH threw a stone at it, it still had the cheek to come in and of late had been stalking down to the piggy/rabbit hutches, the dogs were soon let out and had the thrill of chasing the ****** thing off! Fair to say i haven't seen it for a while!. Blodyn has lovely markings ;D we had a tortoiseshell called jasmine when i was younger ;D.

I'm glad the cats help to control them. Blodyn only catches field mice and shrews. I take them from her when I can save them. But I'm never cross at her because I know it's nature, and that's the way cats are, but I find it cruel. I'm probably too soft lol Blodyn used to come for a walk with me when I had her first, but now she is more independent.

I actually get quite upset at seeing the poor little field mice get caught. They don't worry us because they don't come into the house. I have one living in the compost bin at the moment.

The dogs hunt down the mice, molly is very good at finding them the little ones are just the right size to catch them. Only thing is they have brought them inside still alive!

Diamond really is a little diamond Floydie, she looks very sweet & pretty! Blodyn is a beauty Hywel & looks like she rules the garden with a regal air! & Cherry, Atticus looks like he eats so well he can't fit in another rabbit & that's why he's giving them to the dogs! ;D He sounds as though he must have once lived with a family as a pet & maybe they had dogs too? Glad they are both doing well & enjoying their new (ish) home with you.
