Oh, don't tell me that! Henry is only 8, and the vet has given us two medications to give him. The Insurance Company will want another 20% of this new claim, and, of course, the premium will shoot up again next year. I don't know what an X-ray costs, but a lot, I'd imagine.

The cat is in hunting mode and has wanted to stay out at night last night and tonight. I worry about him in the cold, but he has his fur coat on.

Is it cold there, then? I worry about Henry in the force 8 gales downstairs - but I added a blanket to his bed, to try to help. He doesn't spend as much time in bed during the day as he does normally.

It was 10.6 at the lowest point Geranium. That is not too cold, so no wonder the cat wanted to go hunting.

He'd probably be successful, too! As long as he doesn't bring his trophies to you... I was sorry for Henry to start with last night, but after he started howling, that was enough! I told him he was a bad boy. No strokes that time!

I told him he was a bad boy. No strokes that time! Give Henry an inch and he takes a mile! Yes, the cat does bring his kills to the door and it is tricky getting the dogs past these.

I'm sure it is. I hate it when Henry disposes of birds. I couldn't have a cat because of their tendency to kill - poor OH has to deal with any fatalities if birds fly into our windows.

We had a real fright re Stripes over the festive period he hid behind the settee for a good 48 hours, he would come out or speak to me so needless to say we thought this was it. So first thing this morning I was on the phone to the vets, we took him down this morning only to find he had very bad constipation the vet did his job, what a transformation in just a few seconds at the moment he's fast a sleep.

Must have been quite serious Lesley. Stripes is a cat we will never forget as he was missing for some time when you moved. He looks very comfy in his bed.
My son's girlfriend graduates from Edinburgh University in July, so we feel as if we have a vet here already. I save up my questions for her visits.

Just thought I would give you an update, well he's back to his usual self today, he slept all day and night yesterday so he was up really early this morning crying for his food at 6-30 after that he was howling to go out, we blocked of his cat flap as I didn't wont him going out while he was ill. So after we'd had breakfast and it was getting light I went with him everything was fine he was back on Micky patrol sitting in his usual place under the bird feeder stand. So he lives another day thank goodness he will be 15 this year. ;D
