I don't know if you realise that Henry is our first dog? I grew up with a dog in the family and always wanted one, but couldn't while I was working. As soon as I retired we went and found H. and he does bring great joy - you're right. Other emotions get in the way sometimes, too - when he decides he wants to play and lets me know loudly while I'm in the middle of a flowerbed for example!  He doesn't seem to have a volume switch. ;D |

Lovely. I have a dog which barks at anything and it drives me mad. The girl is quiet and sweet, just like girls should be.

Brodie is going to the vet this morning to have malignant breast lumps removed. I went through this with my springer spaniel when I lived in Oxfordshire and she did have quite a few more good years. Brodie's worry is that she has not had breakfast as she is not allowed to have food, yet she has walked way down the strip.

Brodie came home in fairly good shape, considering the vet phoned me halfway through the operation to tell me of another lump on the other side. He thinks she will be alright for a while yet. She is nearly ten but a bit skinny.
She is wearing a babygro which is called a vest by the vets. This takes the place of those awful big collars and is far more comfortable for the dog.
Thanks for your good wishes. We all know how it feels when our pets suffer.

Beths new boy, a teddy named Spook he is a big boy! at only 12 weeks old!!! She is taking him to his first show this sunday her first in the pure bred class too so im hopeing she does well with him x    My Swiss baby sow Bluebell 9 weeks old now (only her in the litter)  Ill not post any more lol |

Lesley, you will have to show her where to take it. Atticus has got used to eating the rabbits, etc., on the patio, which can be washed off if necessary. However, we still run for the door to make sure it is shut if we see him coming with a mouse. Did your cat make a special 'yowl' to alert you.
In the winter, because it is dark, we have to shine the torch through the door first before taking the dogs out so they don't snaffle the cat's kill.
I was up at 0400 to take Brodie out for her comfort. Sammy seems to know to treat her with respect and let her have her own soft bed in the kitchen. Amazing for this macho boy!
Beth is prettier than the animals. She is growing up and looks very serious. Lovely picture Floydie.
