Henry has started to bark at my new trough - all we can think is that there might have been a creature under it at some time, and he remembers. Possibly a slow worm or a grass snake? Isn't it odd - but he has a long memory. He's having his first acupuncture this afternoon...

He will be alright. I do hope it does him some good.
Sammy always remembers the baking tin which dropped on to his head when he was a puppy and now runs from his bed, which is tucked into the space below these cupboards in the kitchen, when he hears the pans in the cupboard being moved.
I think dogs do have long memories.
My two cockers are going for hot weather haircuts today. The dog lady lives in a windmill which no longer has sails at Nordelph. Even the name says 'Holland' and lots of houses over that side of the river are Dutch style as the Dutch drained the fens.

Awww what a nice photo Mattolo, that's one blissful dog. My big dog died over a year ago, he hated having a camera pointed at him, so you had to sneak up on him like that for any photo - or zoom in from miles off! I really have no idea why he thought it was so evil. I never dropped one on his head that I remember... We have two cats atm, this is Amber, in classical elegant cat pose (!) enjoying the warm stones on the patio in the evening last week once the worst of the heat had gone;

It's a mystery about the trough, except that he goes and sniffs the begonias in it and backs off. Maybe they smell awful to him? He was 'Angel-dog' during his acupuncture. He relaxed completely when the needles were in and almost went to sleep. This is normal, apparently, but Kate was pleased to have such an amenable patient. We have two more sessions booked, then we see the Physio again before he has hydrotherapy.

Maybe we should all go to the doggy acupuncturist Geranium if it's that relaxing!

It would be a good idea, and you get treats there, too...

I was offered acupuncture on the NHS today - maybe if your dog recommends it it might be worth a go!! I'm a bit nervous at the idea. To be honest I didn't know they practiced it on animals.
