Good morning to the new grandfather! Are the little ones on view yet? We have to go and have a 'chat' with Henry's vet next week to discuss the next steps. I bet it involves more money! The treatments are so very expensive. We have insurance, but I have to pay 20% of each claim...plus the huge annual premiums, of course. He's worth it though. Naturally! have you ever met a poor vet? I think my daughter has coupons from RSPCA or CPL to get the kittens spayed and mum at the appropriate time.

Aww, bless her, poor Pixie looks like she was going to pop before she gave birth! Do you think dad might have been a tabby from the colour of some of the kittens? Don't they sometimes have a litter with different dads sometimes though? Hope she's O.K. & you find good homes for the kittens.

She's saying 'Go away and leave me alone'! She looks so protective, sweetpea.

I'm surprised at the size of them. This one in my hand is less than two days old:

Awww, I love tabbies - my first cat was a tabby. I bet you'll find homes for them OK. She looks a bit overwhelmed at what she's gone and done, if you ask me, in that photo of her and the babies!

lesley, yes she was a stray more or less feral. it was a job to get her in but we managed. 6 kittens. 3 with tabby markings and 3 black like mum The next trick will be getting her down the vet to prevent another lot.

Good luck with that, sweetpea. We had an appointment with the vet yesterday evening to discuss Henry's condition after all the therapy he's been having. The vet says there's a definite improvement in the mobility of the joint, but this could be the exercise regime. It will never be 'better' of course, but together we decided to do nothing further at the moment. Hydrotherapy isn't possible - it could do more damage. We don't want him to go though major surgery, so we're waiting to see how he is in a few months' time.
