Thank you, @hywel. It's very puzzling. The vet says his ears are now clear, but he's still shaking his head madly. That's strange if the condition has cleared. Could he have got into the habit of doing it now ? As you say, it is puzzling.

You spoil Bella @hywel. My husband spoils Atticus and he was in the kitchen this morning when he should be out catching rabbits, so guess who put him out!

Well Bella is lovely @hywel, but you can borrow my barking, disobedient, pain in the b.. black cocker spaniel dog whenever you like. He gets on well with cats. He is quite different to his quiet mother. She is my blue roan elderly Brodie.

Levi came in last night with a live mouse, you've never seen a cat move so fast out the cat flap were my husband chased him out, he knew he'd done wrong !! bless him he was just bringing me my breakfast for the morning.

lesley I hope you admired the poor little mouse (outside) and told Levi he was clever. You are 'supercat' and he was showing you how well he had done.

It's been a while since my handsome cat Gandalf made an appearance here! Well, he now has a friend called Poppy. She had been abandoned and I couldn't resist her when I saw her on friends mobile so called to the vetinary surgeon where she was and had an introduction to her a few weeks ago. They get on amazingly well and I have had no trouble with them ( touch wood) so far.

Incidentally, whilst waiting in the foyer of the vets I heard someone calling their dog Poppy and thought that'll do nicely

Aww lesley , Levi won't bring you any more presents if you turn your nose up at them ! I only got the occasional 'dead present' left on the back step when the dear departed puss was young!
