No point to them as our political leaders have deaf ears to the great British public. Majority would have hanging brought back but the MPs would of course follow their own agendas and ignore public opinion as they are wont to do. Same with the other big issues of the day. human rights, EU, immigration, the euro etc. etc. Sometimes I despair of this country and the way it is run.

It wouldn't be quite so bad if the locked 'en up and threw away the key, but they only serve a few years....in relative luxury.

I would have thought the Government would have supported it, With all their cost cutting, they would save a fortune, even taking into account compensation for families who had a innocent relative hanged.

Take your point Tel but all the guilty ones plead innocent. with DNA there's a better argument and anyway there are more people killed in illegal wars. I think it's more a 'moral' issue Only 'God' has the right and all that. Trouble is that for me there are too many 'Gods' Imagine the chaos if we had a Head of State to represent each version.
