We have got house sparrows nesting in the box on the side of the house, this pic was taken a while ago, the babies must be growing cos the parents now can't get in the box to feed them, you see the gaping mouths when the parents come to the box to feed them ;D I am hoping the didn't fledge yesterday in all that rain and wind

That is a great photo Rosie. It is cropped and a bit fuzzy, but you can see it's a female house sparrow, i have been watching the box this morning as i think the babies are out, the parents aren't going up to the box now and there are young looking birds flying short distances

I thought it was a local thing hedgespugs and treespugs ;D It hasn't got down this far, they are still sparrows here, I do prefer the name Spuggies Clever photo Rosie, they are not easy to catch coming or going.
