The photo surprised me, it's only taken with my little pocket camera. It was far more luck than skill.

I can watch bees for hours, and they do seem to be quite fastidious about cleaning themselves.

All i know is someone last winter, vandals more than likely, went on the allotments and removed the tops of the hives.
When the owner went down, they were all dead in the hive's.
