Sorry Steve, I did google it and then forgot to say. I have seen this growing all the way through Cornwall and especially on the Isles of Scilly. There doesn't seem to be any round here but it does grow on the cliffs further up the coast.

I didn't know its name, I thought it was a member of the Aloe family but only because of the way it looks.
