Bramley Apple cake
Ingredients: 225g/8oz SR flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 150g/5oz margarine softened (I use Utterly Butterly) 150g/5oz caster suger plus extra for sprinkling. 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 large free range organic eggs 1lb bramley apples, peeled cored & sliced 1tbs lemon juice 1tsp cinnamon – or to your taste.
Method preheat oven 170c/325f/mark 3 grease and line bottom of 8inch cake tin.
Sift flour & baking powder into bowl. beat margarine, sugar & vanilla extract until light & fluffy.
beat in the eggs a little at a time, add flour. toss apples in the lemon juic
I chopped the apples into small pieces and mixed it all together, it was lovely and moist, I can see it wont last long. I used all the ones that had fallen. ENJOY WE DID.

Thanks Les. It is always worth trying recipes which are not just copied out, but actually made by the contributor. I love it when you add the notes, such as exactly what you used.
