I thought I'd done everything right Esther, started it in the greenhouse, and put it in the garden end May, but I wonder if the lack of sunshine is the reason it hasn't done well. Do you overwinter yours in a pot in the greenhouse?

It is the first time I have tried to grow one Peony - It stayed in the greenhouse all the time - I thought maybe I had started it off too early 'cos it started to rot a little and I just cleaned the bulb up ,replanted it and was very surprised to get a flower! I will try again

Peony - if you go to page 6 and scroll down scotkat started a thread earlier in the year - it made me want to have a go at growing one Thank you Esther I see Scotkat dried her bulb for overwintering, so I'll try that. Perhaps we'll both have more success next year
