I suppose the spider has to eat aswell. I don't like to see things killed but nature is cruel. Poor butterfly .... And poor spider - it would starve to death if it couldn't catch it's food.

Thanks, I'm just lucky that I spot the little things, a bl**dy great big escaped tiger could walk past me & I wouldn't see it but I'd spot a tiny creepy crawly a mile off! ;D I couldn't see the spider or it's 'packed lunch' in the web outside the window this morning & went out to look but the spider was guarding it's meal tucked away at the top of the window frame. It's a good excuse not to clean the windows as there's another spider with a web spread right across the middle section of the window too. ;D
