I was given this by my sister, it's just arrived, she bought for my birthday next month I'd love to visit these gardens in person one day.

ooh Christo was a hero of mine, I re-read his books often, currently re-reading 'The Well Tempered Garden'. 'Cuttings' is another favourite.
I really recommend a trip there, it's so inspiring and Fergus is lovely ;D

I didn't - I have a feeling it was before Fergus's time. Hmmm. Our daughter was 5 the first time we went, so it's 35 years ago.

I love this book !!! I'm only on page 20 but it's so compelling I didn't realise it was so close to Sissinghurst and i didn't know that Dixter had Lutyens' influence there either !
