I've put the plants I want to keep in the greenhouse, just bought a new parafin heater, I don't have electric up there, but last year most things survived. I will just let the garden survive on it's own this year as there would be no point in trying to fleece things, it would just get pulled off, so if it doesn't survive, it will be an opportunity to buy some new things ;D

That sounds good Grindle. I don't have heat at all and just bring a couple of plants, like Malviviscus penduliflorous and Gynura aurantiaca, into the cold conservatory. They just start up again in the spring. I left the Malviviscus out with the hardy Hibiscus all summer and it loved it.

Good philosophy Grindle, the cost of heat and bubble would probably cost more than new plants anyway ;D

very true Merlin, most of the plants now left in the garden survived last winter, the ones that struggled have gone. I have a few 'precious' ones, but I won't have to keep any fucshias this year as I wanted to replace them anyway
