No - that would make it produce new shoots which would be killed off when you get frost. Feed it in the spring, Kath. I've got 'Hot Chocolate' and it's a fantastic rose - you'll love it.

I have that one by the front door Rosie, the perfume is wonderful. It arrived yesterday Ron and it's a fabulous plant ;D, great root system and four strong healthy stems, it is now planted at the front of the house ;D

Today I brought home three new members of my rose family, St. Swithun, Golden Celebration and Shropshire Lad.....oh and Cornus Midwinterfire. A nice walk, All in all a very satisfying day.

It must pervade it's wonderful scent everywhere Lou. I believe it's at home on a fence. I'm told it's sister is also as nice. The trouble with DA 'old English' roses is that once you get one you can't stop !
