Having decided to go for it i've now found out that my sister and b-i-l want me to pay the hundred and they'll pay the 45 so i'm giving it even more (or should that be less !) thought !

Still get it Louise, you only live once.
You may find a cheaper one (I'm still keeping my eyes open) but I doubt if you will find one as good, you get what you pay for.

They do make an interesting feature in the garden, persuading the local Collared Doves to use it could be time consuming. I can think of many other ways to spend £45 that wouldn't look so nice.

!!! for that the Doves would think they were in the 'Cote azure ! If it were my Sister, she would pay only the postage and say it's the thought that counts Look at it this way, you'll be getting it at a third off (have I got my sums right Lou?) I'd make you one myself but it would just be a dove-tail joint.

The average price for dovecotes is £3-400 merlin so to even find one at this price is extremely rare and to only pay £100 for it makes it a good deal ;D

I found one at the recycling centre today, I had a good look at it, it would have taken a lot of work to tidy it up. It was a tad on the large side too.

Ah, that's a shame, WF As you know, it's a small one i'd like and not the usual sized one. It would have have been great in your garden though, weren't you tempted for you ?
