The narrow strip at the side of the house today. Tel, that is looking really lovely, you should be proud of what you have done there, it's just gorgeous. It shows why we became gardeners
It is a Virburnum, jrae there are a few different ones, but i think this could be Virburnum Tinus, it overhangs our fence from the next door neighbours. It is very welcome to do so, it flowers from late winter to early spring here.

A tree that flowers this early is a real bonus. Is it a Cherry? I'm not too good with tree identification.

I still think it is Prunus cerasifera 'Nigra'.

This was taken last week, Its a shame we will not see this mature. We are going to dig out what we want to keep and place them back in pots. The reason been. When we moved here we had a initial 6 months contract, this is normal for new tenants, we moved here in October 2011 then in January 2012 we were informed the landlords bank has placed his properties in to the hands of Administrators. We were told then the only effect on us was we would pay the rent to them and not the landlord. Now our contract is up for renewal on the 29th of this month, when i enquired with the Company that is administrating the property, they told me we will be on a monthly contract in future in case the bank decides to sell the landlords properties. We were informed if the bank decides to sell, we will be given 2 months notice to quit. WE have discussed the situation and we have both decided we cannot continue living on a month to month contract. We are now looking for another property, hopefully we will find one in the same area as now.

This is terrible news Tel ...all that money you've spent on doing it up as well. . I can understand your reasons for wanting to find somewhere else....I would hate to live like that, wondering if and when you will be given notice. Good luck with your new search
