I also wont one I love seeing them and hearing them, when I was younger we found a barn that had some in and every evening when it was getting dusk we'd go and watch them flying along the hedge rows looking for mice for there young.

It is lovely but it's a shame that it will encourage some children (& adults! ;D) to try & acquire a totally unsuitable pet.

Sadly, so do I - after the Harry Potter films, an awful lot of owls were kept as pets until the children realised how difficult it was to look after them.
