All my taters will be grown in containers this year, I have an old water tank from the loft, rescued when we had our central heating redone a few years ago...and I use other great big pots as well.
I've only bought a few tubers of each variety
Lady Chrystl
Nicola
Juliette
Charlotte
All salad potatoes as we like them best.

planted mine out today
just two varieties, earlies, red duke of york and casablanca. Got them covered with fleece so hopefully no danger from frosts.

I am only just starting a few earlies. I haven't grown potatoes since I moved here and found the farmer had planted the same variety as mine in our field. These were Premiere, but newer varieties are planted as well. I also grew International Kidney thinking these would be very early as they are actually Jersey Royals, but they were second to Premier. This year, I will plant Charlotte.
