What a good idea. I saw the Bosch one has the sensor and the info says if not touched after 10 seconds it'll switch off. Not so good if you're a man doing the ironing because they take ages trying to get their shirts correctly positioned - before laying the b***y iron on it I witness the iron being untouched for more than 10 seconds as a long sleeved shirt is being hauled around the board trying to get 'the best position'

As a fully paid up Country Bumpkin, I rarely wear a proper shirt but there's nothing like a cotton shirt freshly ironed. Remember those plastic ones, was it 'Double Two the shirt you don't iron' Yuk !

I bought a Russell Hobbs steamglide iron Blimey, I didn't realise we were talking makes as well. Mine is blue but I have no idea what the make is ;D

I use ironing water. It would not empty quickly here as I don't do a lot of ironing.
