Well we survived the winds... The polytunnel wooden door frame is twisted, the door won't lock now, but it should be easily sorted and there is a rip in the cover, only about a foot long so not too bad. My plastic wee shed/potstore thing had it's lid and a door ripped off, but we have both pieces. The big plastic council compost bin was pretty much dismanted and some of the pegs are twisted, but i have managed to reassemble it. I stuck one of the long black pegs through the hole at the front to keep the lid down more securely But all the compost was still in the bin so not all bad. One wooden obelisk with and Iceberg rose on was blown over but it's fine too. So all in all not too much damage. We have been lucky in that respect. We did have power cuts, but as it was through the night it was no big deal It is not something i would like to experience again!!!

Must have been bad up your way rosie ! My greenhouse is still standing, can`t believe it. Only one little pane in the door blew out, well actually in to the greenhouse so I didn`t even loose it.

This 'climate change' is worrying for some, I hope you don't get another one for a very long time Rosie. Of all the 'elements' wind would upset me most.

Sounds pretty rough Rosie but at least this time you haven't got squashed cars/motorbikes etc. under a collapsed garage! Take care up there!

You were lucky Rosie and you must have done a good job of the polytunnel.
