Looks great Kath, if you use the skirt with a real Christmas tree though how do you get the pine needles out without spoiling the lovely crochet?

We no longer have real Sue A we bought a very real aritficial tree fro Dobbies 2yrs ago.
I add a bit of xmas spruce to our arificial tree I use spruce for xmas wreaths so keep some back to add to tree for the real smell.
So my tree skirt wiil be ok.
I am sure you also crochet a skirt with raffia and pine needles would fall off.

That looks lovely Kath, I think I'd be tempted to wear it rather than put it round the tree!
