got new telly today just to go in the kitchen for her ladyship trouble is, it goes pixellated quite a bit. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks, hopefully. the aerial seems ok and it has a good picture for half the time. its one of those freeview sets.

Whenever we have had that problem it has always been the aerial, sometimes just a slight adjustment left, right or up, down has cured it

The times when freeview doesn't work might be when the trees between you and the transmitter are wet or blowing about in a wind or, if there is a road where lorries go past, they get in the way. Conditions can be worse in hot weather when there is what is called atmospheric ducting. It is still cheaper than a satellite dish! That is our experience - our caravan, which is further away from the trees and the road gets a much more consistent picture.

I'd check your aerial connections & the wire, with us we have an aerial splitter in the t.v. downstairs & an extension wire which goes up the stairs to the bedroom. Sometimes the splitter has come loose from the connection & once the wire had got trapped under the door & damaged, replaced it & it was fine.

It's a good time of year to aquire 'Brownie points' SP that's if you're not to busy trying out 'New sexual techniques for the married man'. There again, it's a good time of year to get 'pixellated'

TV seems to be working fine now after jiggling with a few wires and connections Just got to figure out how to connect the old lead to the telly that was moved my brain doesn't work quite so well these days. I built a flatpack sideboard yesterday and OH went to put something in it and the door fell off I think it must have been her fault, I'm sure the lads will agree.
