Very cold, but the frost has melted. I think it is just me. If I go outside today I will wear my hillwalking socks and boots leftover from the good old days.

I've been to the allotment which wasn't too bad for frost as it has a high hedge all the way round, came back with parsnips cabbage and leeks Doesn't look much like the sun is getting up yet though! |

We didn't get a frost last night, but the temps. haven't risen above 4 degrees, and the breeze makes it feel very cold.

Worried about all your rain A.J., it usually heads our way later. Very frosty start & cold again but lovely sunshine. Went for a drive & a walk again to Lytham St Annes, walked along the front & down a very quiet jetty. There's a great windmill there which they'd just restored & replaced a sail on which blew off early last year & another sail has blown off in the bad storms at the end of the year!    |
