Battering winds last night, Graham said some roads on his way to work were closed due to fallen tree's. Much calmer today, bright and cold.

It is only 6 deg here with high cloud and small bits of blue. Breezy, but not too windy.

It got down to 4 degrees last night, that is quite nippy for this year but a little bit different from the -11 it was this time last year.

The wind is very frightening here tonight, the rain's intermittent and it's 9 degrees still. Hey ho ..... it's either snowy and calm (last winter) or Atlantic and wild (this winter) - why can't we have simple easy weather here in winter
