Heard on radio this morning that today was the shortest day but it is actually tomorrow, 22nd dec. specifically at 0530 when the winter solstice occurs. Not that it matters as long as the days start to lengthen once again. Sooner the better.

Our weatherman told us this too, but said we would not notice as there are only seconds in it.

Yesterday & today it's been so dull & grey it's hardly got light at all so the shortest day is welcome even if we do have to wait until tomorrow!
