Another video or two showing how everything progressed from 28th July until today. As you saw from the show entries, had a fair few. Those weren't the only ones that went into the show though. A friend of mine in the trade had no dahlias at all for his stand so he picked loads on Wenesday afternoon of not quite ready/ too far gone ones for his stand. Eventually they looked like this After watching the videos below, just click on the pictures, all of those dahlias on view will go to Southport show as he hasn't any blooms for there either I've often thought about showing at Southport but not quite in this way. Only trouble is, I won't see them at their very best. Never mind, all in a good cause. PS, if he takes that Sir Alf I reckon that will be the best giant in the show

Is that Wildlife Friendly ....If so.....yeaaaahhhhhhhhh ;D I thought it was very nice of her to email me, to let me know how she had done at the show with her dahlias, Ruskin Respectable did not bloom in time for her. So another variety was used. But she did remember all the other things that needed to be done to win that 1st prize. I do wish she would come back, i miss her and her beautiful garden.

That news from WF is just the best. Congratulations WF. ;D
Scrumpy, that shows how bad the season has been for dahlias, but what a good display your friend put together.
