I grew rocket 2 yrs ago, and last year I grew Desiree. They had red skins. I wasn't keen on rocket. They exploded with a loud bang one day in the microwave ;D Back to boiling potatoes properly now I've been growing them in big tubs since I've been living here. Don't know if I'll bother this year though.

I have stopped buying seed potatoes, for the last couple of years i have bought Charlotte, Nicola, Marilyn, Marabela and anything else that takes my fancy off the reduced section at the supermarket. Just bought Marilyn potato so far, according to the label from a farm in Norfolk.

I only have space for growing in tubs, so I shall probably stick with Lady Christl and Charlotte which I grew last year My son grows in tubs too so, as usual, I'll buy enough seed potatoes for us both

I find that no matter what maincrop i grow they always seem to break up in the boil, first and second crops are fine

I will try doing this piece in the Eastern Daily Press on here. It will be very small, but if you can't read it, I will ask Martin Davey to post it properly. It is very interesting and relates to your problem Tel.

Haven't decided yet but I suppose I'll just pick something up on a visit to a garden centre. A more immediate problem is to get the beds ready in time
