Was doing a bit of surfing as one does recently only to end up more confused. Was reading up on raspberry care. On one site it said definitely not to feed but just to mulch with manure in early spring, another site said to fertilize with 10 10 10, a product which I can't seem to find and then mulch in early spring. What do you do Another thing I read was when you buy pot grown canes, and normally the pots would have 2-3 canes, split them into single canes and plant them separately What do you think I should do

I would feed them early with whatever you have got. You should mulch because they root near the surface. I don't think I would split them, but just prune down the old canes, which are probably already short. See what Steve says about this.

All the 10, 10, 10 means AJ is a reference to the quantities or strengths of ingredients in a fertiliser
nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K),
the nearest I can see is Growmore which is 7, 7, 7 but look on the back of any packs of fertiliser and there you will see this reference to the three strengths
Raspberries planted in good soil will not need anything else but if they crop well then the next year they will require feeding to keep up the good cropping
