Just received the sad news this morning that my Grandmother passed away last night. She was 100 years and six months old! The last few weeks were a rapid decline so we all suspected the inevitable.
I thought I would post this as you all were so kind celebrating her reaching her 100th last July.
I'll miss her stories about her life which were incredibly detailed. Her memory was incredible!

You just do not really know what to say when someone has a bereavement in the family. Sorry to hear about your loss Steve, a ripe old age though.

She certainly lived through some eventful times. Two world wars, several kings and queens, Television, the world wide web space travel and so much else. Wonder how many of us will reach that age.

I'm sorry too - my Mum desperately wanted to get her telegram from the Queen, but she passed away at 99, so she didn't quite make it. I bet your Gran was thrilled to reach her century!

I suspect that most of us have used up our three score n' ten, imagine another thirty! Fortunately gardening doesn't compete with technology! My condolences Steve.
