Stress

I have this translator/editor job that's pretty great. I only have to go to the office on Fridays for meetings and most of the time (Mondays to Thursdays) I stay home and work online. So Thursday this week one of my colleagues had an emergency leave because she had the baby really early and I took over most of her unfinished work. There's this Chinese guy that I'm working on like a lot of speeches he wants translated in English. Colleague forgot to mention he's an expert in harassment. So while I was typing away I sent him an email informing him I would be working on his speeches from now on. Got an email back with lots of instructions in pidgin english that took me half an hour to figure out. And for the rest of the day everytime he remembered something or wants to ask how the translations are going he would call me in Skype and before I get to pick up would call on my mobile and then again before I get to pick that up he'd call the phone in my home office. When I finally managed to pick up the phone all he said was "I have email new reminder you read then answer." Went on for the rest of the day, everytime I would answer his email saying I understand would work on his suggestions he'd shoot back "No waste time more email work speech quick."

So this past Friday I tried to talk to my boss if I could have an emergency leave as well when he asked what for I said I'd look up if psych wards were willing to take me in. ;D We ended up dropping that client since no one else wants to work on his stuff as well. Apparently people at work thought if I could handle him good as I am one of the most patient but if I couldn't then that means he's really hard to deal with and must go. I kinda feel like the office tester cake.
