What exactly is Airsure or International Signed For Royal Mail? I have been negotiating with a seller on ebay and he said it's too much bother for him to look up UPS or FedEx as it's quite far from where he is and would rather use those two. He said to pick either of the two. I'm buying some antique collectibles and using something that wouldn't deliver things to my doorstep and will have me going to my local post office to claim things is scary as I'm afraid I might not get it as anything that seems nice would probably end up being stolen at the post office here.

I would imagine International signed for is the same as Royal Mail signed for here other than we get it delivered to the door & sign for it. If it's delivered to your post office & you have to collect it & sign for it you could always insist on opening it & checking it while you're there to make sure it's all there in the package or you could refuse to sign for it if it had been tampered with.

I didn't see my country listed in the Airsure part, sigh. Guess it's Internal Signed For...

The problem with anything leaving our shores is that Royal Mail no longer have control over it. At the destination country it becomes the responsibility of that country's PO to do the necessary with it.
