A lady said to me this morning that she has a half barrel in the garden containing water with a water lily in it.Recently she has noticed a bright purple material on the surface and she asked me if I knew what it could be.I can,t think of any cause so I wondered if any of you have any ideas.If you have please let me know

This sounds very strange Derek.....I wonder if there is oil on the surface of the water....giving a purple/pinkish colour......can't think of anything else...sorry  |

I am at Portmadog now on my grandsons computer.On Tuesday evening I printed the information that Grindle had given me and on my way here yesterday I called to see the lady and gave it to her.I did go to look at the problem and it does look the same .She was very pleased that she now knew the answer so thank you again,Grindle.
