What Buckwheat would i need to make heat pillows? Or similar filling?? I know its getting abit late for making these now but i may try a few to test the water for next autumn/winter.

Err... I just ended up confused Floydie after looking it up on Google. Some sites say it's just buckwheat hulls, some sites say it's the whole buckwheat itself. But there are more sites that say just buckwheat hulls. Sorry that's all I could find.

You might need to go just for hulls Floydie.....some folk might suffer from allergies or hayfever....just a thought?

If you're thinking of making them for the piggies etc. won't you have to be careful as well because they might be tempted to try & nibble through the covers to get to the buckwheat?

Alot of people use the heat pads for piggys, ive got 2 for mine they just lay on them. Is buckwheat non pet safe?

I would imagine it's safe for pets I was just wondering if they might be able to smell it & think it's food & try to nibble through the cloth to get to it & eat it & you'd end up with holey pads & buckwheat everywhere! ;D

Lol ;D, mine dont seam that botherd about whats inside, maybe because its cooked . Ive ordered a small bag of hulls so we shall see how the new items turn out when it arrives .
