Esther probably did not get this for old age Rosie. She is just a young thing really.
Good work Esther. After all, your garden is open for charity and I would think you would get the exemption that blue badge holders get.

You are right Cherry, being aged doesn't qualify, only having an open garden or being disabled qualifies for exemption  |

Well the ban has kicked in today so no hosepipes for us, am just hoping that my dahlia plants will be ok this year. As they will take a lot of watering cans

When I filled the form in I didn't actually mention that we are opening our garden so I qualified on medical grounds  |

I bet that is a real weight off your mind Esther.
It was announced this morning that we officially have a drought down here now. We don't have a hose pipe ban and there isn't one on the cards. The rivers are lower than they were in 1976 but our reservoirs are still 80% full.
We have been asked to use our water wisely.
