Could it have been something bigger like a cat or maybe 2 cats fighting/chasing that knocked everything over Joysie? I've had things knocked over near the pond when cats have been trying to catch frogs etc. No idea about the water unless you've got a liner or something which may have a slow leak?

The cats round here are very patient Joysie, I've seen them sit staring at next door's pond waiting for a fish to come up for food to try & hook them with their claws, I also saw one fall in once trying to reach something it had seen & run off soaking wet & covered in pondweed! ;D

Are we able to shoot herons in this country? I would have thought it is illegal. I thought only feral pigeons over rape in the country were allowed to be shot.

Joysie. otters and mink will also take your fish if you have any in your area. We have had to net over the fishpond again because of this, hopefully only temporary. The wildlife pond is left to its own devices apart from clearing duckweed.
