Very similar to 'Maidwell Hall' which I grew at my last house, and not unlike my 'Wesselton' which is growing through the Laburnum and is reaching the top of it now. They do grow well and I couldn't be without C. macropetala.

Kermesina is a good one a reddish colour, I've just bought Black Prince so will see how that one goes Litttle Nell was a pretty one too, it was 'got' at last year, but there are new shoots growing again thank goodness. A strong growing one is Caerulea Luxurians an unusual blue one with green tips in the flower, there is also Alba. I also have Mary Rose, a small flowered, double one in a dusky purple and Emilia Plater (I better stop now )

I would suggest Clematis 'Henryi' because it is a large flowered white Clematis with chocolate anthers which resists wilt. This and Compassion have a similar vigour.

This is 'Hagley Hybrid', which has clambered up through the roses on the house wall. I can only reach the lowest flower! ;D 'Boulevard' is a low-growing Clematis, which I have in the pot with my Kalmia. It seems to have a very long flowering period.
