We have had a re-union with Eric Whitehead who was the best man at our wedding 53 years ago. We had not seen him for over 50 years.We used to live next door but one to each other We lost touch with him and his wife,Dorothy when they moved down south.We went to the same school and he got in touch with me through the schools website.I put my profile on this website and it shows a picture of me digging up my potatoes and he just noticed it by chance.His wife,Dorothy used to be friendly with my sister,Barbara and we all met at a restaurant in Worsley and he bought us all our lunch.
On the left han side of the picture are Rosemary ,then me,then Dorothy and Eric is stood behind.Barbara is at the end of the table with her husband,Stuart.
Eric and Dorothy now live in Derbyshire

It is good after so many years and no doubt brings back many memories. I was at a golden wedding recently where I was the best man all these years ago so I do know how it feels. good on you.
