One of our hedgehogs is dead! I saw it this morning in the gutter when I was coming back from the shop. It must have left our garden & been hit as it ran across to the houses on the other side, I went & checked to see if it was dead or just injured as it didn't look damaged but when I went over it was stiff, poor little thing, must have just been a glancing blow. We saw one the same yesterday on our way out shame.

Sue that is a shame. You do get attached to any wildlife that is in your own garden. Are there any others?

I think there may still be one around although I haven't seen it as there were two at one time in the garden, just hope the dead one wasn't a parent, I hate to think of babies starving. They don't seem to have nested in our garden, at least not in the hedgehog house, I think they just came in to feast on the slugs & bird food.
