I haven't seen any hedgehogs for a couple of years in our garden although I have seen hedgehog 'poo' but the night before last I went to the back door to watch for the bat (which did turn up on time!) & I could hear a load of very loud snuffling noises down the path. I got the torch & there were two lovely hedgehogs turning over pieces of slate on the path to find bits of bird suet & mealworms dropped there. They were still there half an hour later enjoying themselves, I didn't see them last night but there was fresh poo on the path so they must have visited later, really pleased they're back!

That's good news Sue, I miss mine from our old house I wish I could have brought them with me because I now the people who moved in wouldn't have bothered about them. And were not likely to get any here.

If it's after snails it's gonna have a feast in my garden ! Hope he/she is hungry as i'd quite like them gone and not chasing after my veggies !

We are seeing more wildlife now since we moved here, a hedgehog walked past the back gate last night, he or she did not seem bothered about all the rain. ;D

Great pic Twiams.
Tel you should see a lot of wildlife now as there is nothing between you and their habitat.

One of our hedgehogs is dead! I saw it this morning in the gutter when I was coming back from the shop. It must have left our garden & been hit as it ran across to the houses on the other side, I went & checked to see if it was dead or just injured as it didn't look damaged but when I went over it was stiff, poor little thing, must have just been a glancing blow.
