I'm glad you've posted a pic of your trophies Tel.....Any chance you could display them all this year......just for a change.....instead of pushing them in the back of the wardrobe That would give Brenda a chance to build up on her collection of shoes....lol

I used to stick mine in a polythene bag as it helped to stop tarnish. Gave them a quick buff up before returning though

Sweetpea. What about looking out some of your trophies. Even on the forum, members new and old may forget that you were the master when it came to sweetpeas, among other flowers. Come on, put them on here.

Come on, put them on here. The cups and stuff that I have won in the past were only kept for one year then returned for the next year's show. Got one or two things that were won outright plus loads of certificates, medals and rosettes etc. I'll see if I can find time to take some pics though.

The same here sweetpea, all mine have to be returned the following year. I have one dahlia plaque, that i have kept, only because the society does not exist anymore.

That would be interesting, Sweetpea - especially if you could do it like a tutorial. Congratulations to you both for winning all those trophies and medals! ;D

ok then if that is fine by the mods. I will have a think and see what I can come up with. Of course it will be just my opinion on ways to grow as there are many who do it slightly different. I will try to accommodate those who would like to grow for exhibition and those for whom garden pleasure will be sufficient.

I am so pleased you posted the pic of the medals SP.
Sweet Pea lessons would be excellent, but I wish it was started in October. They worked very well, because I was asked to come back to the show and even given seeds by one of the national growers to make me interested again. He was the one who would not help me set up. It was a Yorkshire man who helped me.
