They really are great photos! My camera isn't up to doing that. What do you think is eating your Aubergine leaves, Esther? Slimy 'friends' I suppose.

We've been plagued by ants and woodlice this year they've even been eating the strawberries now I see something has been eating the raspberry leaves any suggestions what this might be, the leaves are like holey lace.

Sounds like raspberry sawfly larvae Lesley, look under the leaves & squash any little green caterpillars, shouldn't do any harm unless they strip the entire foliage though.

They are very neat edges on the rose Sue. You have a garden which is full of wildlife.

One of the leafcutter bees was having a rest outside on the windowledge today holding on to it's little leaf roll, I think it was eyeing up the kitchen for somewhere to nest! ;D

Thanks. It was a bit breezy at the time so I think it was probably struggling & having a rest, there are lots of holes in the rose leaves so it must have been busy!

Meant to put this on last week, I've never seen this before! I've seen little caterpillars coming down from trees on a thread but never slugs! It was very damp & I went down the garden to top up the bird food & noticed a small slug hanging on a slime thread from the grapevine, then another from the clematis arch & a couple more from the conifer! I've always thought they abseil down onto plants from ones overhanging but not witnessed it, makes a mockery of surrounding your plants with copper/slug pellets/grit etc.! ;D

They are getting even more revolting the more I see them. You are breeding very peculiar slugs Sue and just as well you have a piccy so that I have to believe you. These are the ones that are all over the grass beside the driveway. They were every 9 ins and now they are more than a foot apart. Uugh! Brilliant wildlife photography again Sue.
