Meant to be?

You are tooooo kind, my friend! ;D I'll post one of my 'projects' this evening.

You are very lucky your stream doesn't flood, flowing water would do some real damage.

I'll volunteer to walk under your bridge ;D

I've been in mine Geranium, mind you oh put heater on for me, just out of interest who mow's the lawn
Love your stream, we had one at the end of our garden when i was young, mind you we had 5 1/2 acres of land.

Back to the first year in my 'new' garden.

I told you I waited to see what was in the garden before I did anything - well, the first nice surprise was that there were lots and lots of snowdrops here.






Strangely, there were very few other bulbs, though - just a clump of Narcissus 'February Gold' and a few odd ones under the old ash tree.




I've planted a lot in the years since then - around every tree, and in corners, amongst the perennials, too. I'll just show you some of them.









We planted three Betula utilis jacquemontii 'Doorenbos' close together nealry 3 years ago so that they'll grow up as a multi-stemmed tree in the future.



(In case you were wondering, the 'cages' were to try to stop the badgers eating all my crocuses!)



I planted the magnolia in the top lawn the first spring here, surrounded by Narcissus 'Jingle Bells' This is how it looked last spring.





I can look forward to spring every year now - with plenty of bulbs to cheer me up.

What a wonderful sight ....I love seeing snowdrops massed togther. That magnolia is a beauty

:)lovely, I can't wait to see my snowdrops flowering, it's one bulb I've not had much luck with, but this year they are coming up ;D
