Esther, I somehow can't imagine a slug getting past your g'house security system.

Last season I had a good crop of mini cucumbers and gave some away. I was told they were the best ever, BUT they gave up rather early. Is this a crop which should have replacements waiting in the wings to take over after they finish cropping? I thought they went on and on like tomatoes.

Lesley, I meant to ask, 'Are the French Marigolds there to deter the whitefly? and if so did they work?

Maybe staggering the sowing dates, may give you a longer season, Cherry.

I normally put a few french marigolds alongside my tomatoes in the g'house. They do seem to have a deterrent effect on whitefly.
