I bought a tiny Lavender 'Grosso' which will be the biggest sort available when it is full size. It was £3.99. The lady who was doing a demonstration on cuttings gave me a piece of L. 'Arabian Nights', also a big one. This is what she used to demonstrate with and today I potted it on with good roots already. Also today I took a cutting of my original Lavender 'Grosso'.

I've ordered some little Verbascums - from the newspaper....I haven't got the advert with me, but I think there are six different ones. I'm sure they'll need to be potted on. They seemed to be a good price.

Got several things at a great price from Parkers in MAy, 6 lobelia cardinals queen vic, 6 dicentras (3 white), 3 varieties of deutzia, 5 alstroemerias and 10 free free asiatic lilies. All for £23 including Postage. Two of the deutzias aren't showing any kind of life yet though and the alstroemerias have had it.

I've just brought a Heuchera and Londons Pride today from a Tea room we stopped at lunch time for £2 - 50 the pair. My next project is to revamp the bed round the apple tree, which at the moment is covered in Sweet Williams.

It's a peace offering Lou, as I've used up all of his spare bonsai pots for my plants and my dahlias have taken over most of the shadehouse.

I just bought Tropaeolum Speciosum at the show, it's all I could carry on the train ;D That should grow beautifully for you Grindle. I could do quite well with it here too as our soil is right, but it is normally a bit on the dry side here.

They try to get rid of these sort of plants after the busy season, because they don't want to overwinter them, but they still should grow. I ordered an 2 Exhorcordas for me and a friend, but one had no intention of growing, so I photographed it and asked for a replacement. I am sure that was Parkers. There was no problem.
