I bought two roses yesterday - Eyes For You (never heard of that one before) and Piccadilly (used to have it in previous garden, a bit gaudy but I like it)

Usually I grow Sturon onion sets which are very good but got some Red Baron sets today just for a change.
When I opened the packet Supposed to be 50 quite a few were infected by a mould so just 'rescued' 24 which is enough for my needs anyway. Serves me right for going to poundstretcher.

That's the worst of buying a bag of anything, you don't know what condition they're in unless you can see them properly.
Having said that I bought two bags of seed potatoes last week in Poundstretcher and I think they're all right. They're sprouting so I'll have to plant them soon.
Having had the need to clear some thins out recently I found a handbag in the corner of the living room, and it had some loose money in it. Being as the owner of the said money is not in a position to spend it now, I thought I'd spend it for her …. so I spent it on plants !
Among other things previously mentioned, I bought some roses …...
Ballerina :-
Eyes for You :-Golden Showers :-Iceberg :-Peace :-Piccadilly :-I haven't any idea where to plant them all yet

You could always try growing papyrus steve or some nice soft 'Lambs Ears' ! I bought a little cucumber plant 'Femspot' & a yellow courgette one yesterday but my seeds are coming up in the kitchen propagator too.

I've had a couple of emails like that as well grindle from seed companies saying that they have enough bulk seed stocks but are having to employ more people to pack them & send them out due to high demand.

Popped over to local GC to get some compost and grobags and while there got a pot of catmint. It never lasts long here as our moggies tend to destroy it with their antics. Will put a basket over it until established. Wonder how long this one will last.

Garden centres are having to close now, I got an email from Bents last night saying that they are keeping the food hall section open to supply the local community as it sells all sorts of food, fresh & packaged (not the café though) but the rest of the site will be closed.
