i have a snake in my pond, nearly fell over when i saw it, it swims good, its about 10 inches long and it looks black, any one got a clue what it is............no fish in pond just tadpoles and frogs

It sounds like it could be a baby grass snake as they swim well & would eat your tadpoles/frogs etc.

That will be right. My neighbour sees hers every year in the pond. It was once caught up in the net and she had to free it. I would be terrified.

The only snake i have seen was a dirty great big python at a snake rescue place on Skye
