This little lady popped up out of nowhere. Could anyone give her a name?....I've had it suggested that it could be Gravetye Beauty fully opened.....but I think it is too big to be that....any ideas please

Gravetye is more tulip shape with 4 petals by the look of it, could it be Allanah?

Thanks Grindle......I think I've sussed it out. I had a Rebecca about 4 years ago, which died on me.it was planted roughly where this one has scome up...I think this is her "re-incarnated".....maybe a sport. I'll wait and see if any more blooms appear and if they are more like the original

I've had that happen with a couple of mine, just when you think they've disappeared forever, up they come. Glad you worked it out

That is what it is, because I remember when you planted it, but it should have a fuller flower I think. The colour is right though.
My C. Lady Diana disappeared for a year and looks marvellous this year so it does happen.

So is it worth leaving my Mme Julia Correvon in? She didn't appear this year.

one of mine didn't appear for a couple of years, then by magic there it was again, and it wasn't a very established one, so I'd give it time and it might well turn up again

The consensus is to leave it it Geranium ;D.....Yes, I thought you would remember the original Cherry, I know you admired it. Yes the petals are narrower, that is why I wonder if it is a "sport". I'm going to wait and see how it performs for the rest of the year and next season too. Perhaps Evisons may be interested to hear about it if it continues to flower this way
