Yes, he is - but unfortunately, all the deliveries and comings and goings have upset our farmer neighbour, who has been so co-operative up to now. He came round yesterday and complained about the way some of the delivery drivers have not 'respected his property'. Then when the loader came to collect the digger, he wouldn't let him reverse into the field - so the loader blocked the lane for a few minutes while the digger was driven down. I can't blame him really. It's a very large and messy project, building a 40' wall. Still, once it's done and we can restore order, all will be well again I hope! Obviously there's a lull now until Tuesday.

I remember my husband delivering to a property up the road from us, just jokingly he said to her' 2 sugars in mine ' her reply was we dont give tradesmen drinks, to which he did the job, but on the way out he took half the hedge with him, we still laugh about it to this day. This was years ago.

Yes, it's going to take about a month from now to get the wall built, then we have a 'labourer' coming to dig the border, as it's beyond me still. I suspect it'll take the whole contents of the compost bin to feed that soil where the Leylandii came out. After all that, I shall really enjoy planning and planting up the new border!

Yes, Mark really got on with it yesterday, too. He said he might not be here today, though, if it rains...which is the forecast. We'll see.

What is this in my AG? Steve has another National Gift Voucher for his article on peaches. I am now in the habit of turning to the letters page first, but this was a surprise. Good on yer mate! ;D

Was that about the huge amount he's got off his homegrown peach tree? Looking at the photos of the bags of fruit he got I think he'd made a trip to Sainsburys for them! ;D Will have to have a read of AG if I pop into Tesco!
